Counting Kids
‘Counting Kids’ offers fun maths sessions for toddlers and young children between 2–4.
It’s full of dancing, movement, songs and lots of fun engaging activities for all to enjoy. Alongside developing a love of maths, it’s a great place to develop social skills, vocabulary and fine and gross motor skills too!

Regular Activities
Appledore Community Hall is used for a wide range of activities and events throughout the year, including regular activities such as Pilates, Bingo, Short Mat Bowls, Zumba, Art classes and the Appledore Shanty Singers.

Zumba with Roberto
Feel the beat with Roberto as he leads his regular Zumba classes on Tuesdays at 11:00am.
Join in with Latin-inspired dance-fitness aerobics including salsa, merengue, hip-hop, and more, focussing on full-body movement.
£7 per session, just turn up, bring your own water.

Pilates
Our friendly group gathers every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9.30am to enjoy some pilates practice with highly-experienced instructor and sports-therapist Catherine.
Classes run as a 4-week course for £30 and are mixed ability, open to everyone. Drop-ins for £10 per session also welcome.

Community Art Group
The Appledore Community Art Group meets every Monday between 10am and 12-noon. Open to all, especially those who haven’t picked up a paint brush for years or those who just want to develop a hobby.
Enjoy friendly, supportive company, a cup of coffee and a biscuit. New members always welcome.

Appledore Book Festival
A nationally recognised 10-day event which rivals other longer established book festivals. Several events are held during the year along with the main events in September. It has grown in popularity and attracts many famous authors and speakers. The Community Hall can seat up to about 135 people.


Appledore Farmers Market
First Saturday of the month. 10am to 2pm.
Held inside the Community Hall when it’s wet and windy outside.
Otherwise it takes place in the car park at the end of Appledore Quay.

Appledore Pirates OAP Christmas Meal
Every year the Appledore Pirates put on a free Christmas meal for the older people in the village. Women over 62, men over 65 — all are eligible. Look out for application forms in early December.

RNLI Annual Quiz
The Appledore RNLI use the Community Hall to host their annual fund-raising quiz. Sometimes even twice a year. Raising vital funds for our local lifeboat crew.
Teams of up to six, with rounds covering general knowledge, local history, and a few nautical surprises. There’s a raffle, prizes for the winning team, and a great atmosphere with food included — all in aid of a fantastic cause.

Friday Quizzers
Anyone can take part in this regular Friday evening quiz. Just turn up. Join another team and make friends, or form your own team and beat the regulars.
£2.50 per person. Starts 8pm prompt. Bring your own drink and snacks. Lucky dip and raffle prizes.
